LG launched the all new LG K8 in India: Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with Android N out of the box!

The K series of LG is known for their pristine specifications and their affordable prices. The devices under the LG K series are mostly mid-ranged with an average of a 5-inch display, and most of the devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Till date, the company has launched about seven different smartphones under the K series, and all the devices were proved as profitable for LG. So following the trend, LG has recently launched another device under that series which is the LG K8. The device was first launched in Korea, and now it has been released for sale in India.

The LG K8 sports a 5 inch HD display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipsets. The device runs on the latest Android N(v 7.1). The K8 also comes with a fingerprint sensor. What is the price of the K8 smartphone?

As I already said that the smartphones under the K series are entry-level phones. Hence, the LG K8 is also a budget friendly device. The MRP of the device is Rs 11,000. But it is available at Rs 9,999. Considering the specs, the price of the phone is pretty much high. LG could have reduced the cost bit more for the LG K8.

Is the device available online for sale?

LG has confirmed that the device will be sold only through offline/retail stores across India. LG K8 will not be available at any e-stores like Amazon or Flipkart. Hence the device is not available online for sale. However, it will be on sale at every retail store of LG. As the device is not available online, hence there is no LG K8 Flash Sale.

Is it a wise choice to buy the LG latest K8 phone?

Though the device has a quality display and a powerful processor yet, there are some drawbacks with it.

Firstly, the RAM of the K8 is only 1.5 GB. Therefore users won’t get a good gaming experience with the device. There might be laggs while multitasking or playing high graphic games.

Secondly, the external storage of the device is very little. The expandable storage is only 32 GB via a SDcard. While at that price range brands like Xiaomi Redmi, Lenovo and Samsung provide much more storage.

The LG K8’s battery also has a drawback. The capacity of the battery is only 2500 mAh. But nowadays companies provide not less than 3500 mAh battery at that price tag. Hence the battery of the device is also not up to the mark.

Moreover, the device comes with a plastic body. Though this will reduce the weight of the device it will also affect the look and design of the phone. And many other competitors of LG offers metal build design under that price.

So according to me, buying this device will not be a good option here. You are getting smartphones with much better specifications and design from other companies.
